STT Security Supervisor Calcie Lucier hit her 5-year anniversary with STT Security! She took some time to detail her experiences below:

 

When did you start working for STT?

I believe I started sometime in the summer of 2018.

I’ve been assigned to [a courthouse] for the past five years. I started out as an entry level security officer, but I’ve since been promoted to our head of security. I am the only certified technician for all ISOTEK metal detectors, a certified astrophysics technician for XIS 6040N, and VI X-Ray imaging system in the beautiful state of Michigan! I am also FEMA trained for emergency management and am also an active EMR.

I have learned so much! It has opened up a lot more interests to me that I didn’t know I had until the situation evolved.

I would absolutely say I’m a total technology geek. I enjoy teaching or explaining to young (and seasoned people both!) about our metal detectors and imaging systems. Especially when some of the local schools have field trips to come visit a court hearing or be involved in an educational “fake” trial.

Pay attention and be patient. Sometimes, it is better just to listen than to say a word. And don’t forget to smile!
