Congratulations on 5 years of service, Rebekah!

Thank you for all you do!

STT Security Officer Rebekah Dutcher recently celebrated her 5-year work anniversary with STT! Read our interview with her below:

When did you start working for STT?

I was looking through Indeed five years ago, trying to find something I liked. I knew I wanted to do security, and STT was having open interviews. I went and met my current supervisor there, and we hit it off. Something must have impressed him because I received an offer and have been working with STT since!

What have you done while working for us? How many sites/positions have you been in?

A lot of different places! I’ve worked at college football games, at a zoo, a center for the arts, baseball games, fireworks festivals, and some other sites too.

What has been your favorite part about working for STT?

I don’t have to do one set thing every day. I get variety, and I’m not always at a regular post. When I worked for [a different security company], all I did was weigh trucks and check people in. It gets so monotonous day after day. Now, I get to do all kinds of stuff: I’ve met a few famous people, seen many bands perform, and seen a few different plays. Even working the same events year-to-year, it’s different every time.

What is your favorite story/experience from working with us?

At a concert I was working at, the lead singer gave me permission to bring someone from the crowd up to the front if they looked excited and seemed looked like they would want to. A woman further back in the crowd caught my eye, so I grabbed her and asked if she wanted to go up closer. The lead singer noticed and gave me a fist bump! It made the whole night perfect, especially since I have been listening to them since I was in high school. It was a very special night!

What advice would you give to a new employee?

Just stick with it! Follow the rules and don’t give up when things get hard. You’ll find that doors open for you and lead to a fulfilling career.
